Astarte is a Persona from Phoenician Mythology. Her Arcana is the Empress. Astarte represents the productive powers of nature, sexuality, and fertility. She is also connected with war. The horn on Astartes head serves to symbolize the Bull and her sovereignty as Goddess. "Wandering through the world Astarte takes up a Star that has fallen from the Sky (a Meteorite) and consecrates it at Tyre." Astarte is also associated with Planet Venus by the Star within a Circle.
